Lonnie D. Henson, 63, of Quarryville, died on Sunday March 1, 2009 at the Lancaster Regional Hospital. Born in West Grove, PA he was the son of the late Richard Henson and Vail Ward Moyer. He served honorable in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Lonnie was employed by Michael's Bakery of Strasburg retiring in 2007.

He is survived by one son Dean Henson, two sisters; Eva Jones of Wrightsville and Wilma Cooper of Florence, Kentucky and his companion Doris Heinzman. Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Stephen W. Kocik, 79, of Coatesville, formerly of Wilkes-Barre, PA, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2009 at his home. He was the beloved husband of Clarice Kocik, with whom he shared 57 years of marriage.

Ernest L. Boyes, Sr., 57, of Coatesville, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2009 at his home. He was the beloved husband of Elaine Martin Boyes, with whom he would have shared 38 years of marriage this June.

Marjorie R. Raffier, 74, of Sadsburyville, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at the Brandywine Hospital.  She was the beloved wife of Thomas D. Raffier, who whom she shared 54 years of marriage. 

Born in Marshalton, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Ruth Davis Mercer.  A 1952 graduate of the Coatesville High School, she was an area resident for all of her life, except for 1954 when her husband was assigned to the military base in Alaska.  Marjorie enjoyed their summer home in Sullivan County.

Ruth T. Simmers, 85, of New Holland, passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2009 at the Ephrata Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Raymond F. Simmers, with whom she shared 62 years of marriage.

Born in Gap, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Susan Myers Trego. An area resident her entire life, she was 1941 graduate of the Coatesville High School. She was employed at PECO Energy in Thorndale, retiring in 1986. Ruth was a member of the Parkesburg Baptist Church.
