Maryellen "Debbi" Young, 65, of Londonderry Twp., passed away at her home on Friday, April 24, 2009. She was the beloved wife of Kenneth W. Young, with whom she shared 44 years of marriage.

Nathan T. Bair, 77, of Glenmoore, passed away at his home on Sunday, April 26, 2009. He was the husband of Doris Wettig Bair with whom he shared 55 years of marriage. Born in Pomeroy, he was the son of the late Albert K. and Elizabeth McWilliams Bair.

Oscar L. Moore, 95, of Honey Brook, formerly of Coatesville, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2009 at the Hickory House Nursing Home. He was the widow of Jean Marsh Moore, who passed away in 2007 after they had shared 65 years of marriage together.

Dorothy E. Eby, 95, of Parkesburg, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2009 at the Harrison Senior Living Center in Christiana. She was the widow of the late W. Glenn Eby who died in 1996.

Born in Parkesburg, she was the daughter of the late George E. and Ella Townsley White. A lifelong resident of Parkesburg, she graduated from the Parkesburg High School in 1931. Dot was a faithful member of the Parkesburg United Methodist Church and had served there as church organist for over 75 years. She also played for funerals for many years at the Wilde Funeral Home.

Sammy W. McDowell, 65, of Gap, passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at his home.  He was the husband of Maureen O'Flaherty McDowell, with whom he shared 25 years of marriage. 

Born in Union County, North Carolina, he was the son of Elizabeth Hargitt Benton and the late William McDowell.  Sammy served honorably in the US Navy.  He retired nine years ago as a Driver for A.T.I.  A resident of Monroe, N. C. until moving to PA seven years ago, Sammy was a member of both the American Legion of Christiana and New Holland.

Mary Elizabeth (Stanley) Helm, 78, of Gap, passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at the Brandywine Hospital.  She was the widow of the late John E. Helm, Sr., who passed away in 1995. 

Born in Compass, she was the daughter of the late John B. and Sara F. Haas Stanley.  She was employed by the former Cardinal Cottons Factory in the late 1960's, and then for the Coatesville Area School District in the cafeteria in the 1970's.  She was a member of the St. John's Episcopal Church in Compass.

John Stephen Przychodzien, Jr., 79, of Parkesburg, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday April 19, 2009. He was the husband of Dolores R. Cole Przychodzien with whom he shared 53 years of marriage. Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Jan S. and Jozefa Kempisty Przychodzien.

Elmer "Frit" Leamy Jr., 82 of Pomeroy, died on Saturday, April 18, 2009 at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. Frit was the husband of Dorothy McWilliams Leamy, with whom he had celebrated 62 years of marriage.

Shirley A. Killinger, 64, of Narvon, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2009 at the Brandywine Hospital. Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late Townsend "Tiny" Groce and Mildred Walker Groce.

An area resident her entire life, she was employed by the Little Chef of Coatesville as a waitress, retiring in 1993. Shirley enjoyed bowling, dancing and was an avid Elvis Fan
