lliam "Mac" McCarty died unexpectedly on May 29, 2009. He was 76 years old. The only child of William M. McCarty and Margaret "Peg" Alexander, he was born and raised in Parkesburg. After graduation, he joined the Navy and served aboard the USS Kearsarge (CVA-33), Port of San Diego where he met Frances Salazar. They were married in 1956, and he became a devoted husband, father, and provider.
Charles E. Archey, 67, of Parkesburg, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2009 at the Coatesville VA Medical Center. Born in Coatesville, he was the son of Roberta B. Archey of Parkesburg.
Joan M. Sheehan, 76, of Downingtown, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2009 at the Pocopson Home of West Chester, where she resided for the past year. She was formerly married to Clarence E. Martin Sr. of Downingtown.
Thomas C. Bicking, 59, of Gum Tree Rd., Coatesville, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2009 at his home. He was the beloved husband of Eileen Bicking, with whom he shared 37 years of friendship and marriage.
Herbert W. Krumrine, 64, of Parkesburg, passed away on May 21,2009, at Brandywine Hospital. He was the son of the late Charles L. and Dorothy Colman Krumrine, and husband of Marguerite Smith Mann Krumrine, and had lived in the Parkesburg area most of his life.
Karl John Trommler, Sr., 85, of Millersville, formerly of Paradise, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at the VA Medical Center of Coatesville. He was the beloved husband of Anna M. Welsch Trommler, with whom he shared 60 years of marriage.Pages
