Anna V. Deputy, 77, of Sadsburyville, passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2008 while under the loving care of her daughter Cathleen at her home in Brandamore. She was the wife of the late Joseph R. Deputy. Born in Narberth, PA she was the daughter of the late Sylester F. and Josephine W. Redmond McGeoy.

Anna graduated from the West Catholic Girls High School in Philadelphia. She lived in Chester County most of her life and was most recently employed as a cook by the Coatesville Moose Lodge where she was famous for her delicious soups and meatloaf.

Frances M. Kretchmer, 78, of Coatesville, passed away on Friday November 7, 2008 at the Jennersville Regional Hospital. She was the wife of the late Paul H. Kretchmer who died in 2001. Born in West Grove, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Anna Woodward Goss.

Michael B. Linhard, 47, of Cochranville, PA, formerly of Baltimore, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at his home. He was the husband of Anne Clement Hutchison Linhard, with whom he had shared three weeks of marriage.

Born in Baltimore, he was the son of Helen Hertzog Linhard of Towson, MD and the late James F. Linhard. He graduated from the Frostburg State College of Maryland. Michael was employed at Wells Fargo of Chester as a Finance Manager.

Teresa M. Miller, 51, of Downingtown, passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2008 at the Lankenau Hospital. She was the wife of Steven A. Miller, with whom she shared 29 years of marriage.

Born in Darby, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Francis and Priscilla Mae Wood Nowark. Teresa was a 1975 graduate of Downingtown High School. She was the Co-owner of KeeBar Enterprises Inc. Teresa was a Roman Catholic by faith.

Mary E. "Betty" Murphy, 90, formerly of Westwood, passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at the Harrison House of Christiana. She was the widow of the late James R. Murphy.

Born in Westwood, she was the daughter of the late Jessie and Stella Davis Brownback. An area resident her entire life, Betty was a graduate of the Coatesville Area High School. She was an avid golfer.

Betty is survived by her son, Robert J. Murphy, husband of Patricia, of Coatesville; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers.

Helen M. Russell, 83, of Gap, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at the Essa Flory Hospice Center in Lancaster.  Arrangements by the Wilde Funeral Home of Parkesburg.

Marie E. Burton, 87, formerly of Thorndale, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at the Hickory House Nursing Home of Honey Brook.  She was the widow of the late William J. Burton, who passed away in 1974. 

Born in Honey Brook, she was the daughter of the late Frank R. and Susan Supplee Gibson.  An area resident of both Coatesville and Thorndale, she had been employed as a Nurses Aid at the St. John's Villa of Downingtown, retiring in 1987.  She was a member of the A.A.R.P. of Coatesville and the Olivet United Methodist Church of Coatesville.

Robert W. Young, 79, of Gap, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at the Neighborhood Hospice Center of West Chester. He was the husband of Helen Shickley Young, with whom he shared 25 years of marriage.

John Albert "JC" Collins Jr., 21, of Strasburg, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at the Hershey Medical Center. Born in Coatesville, he was the son of John A. Collins Sr. and Joanne McDermott of Strasburg.

He was employed by KST Design of Marietta as a welder. He was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association.

Anna E. "Betty" Jackson, 82, of Modena, PA, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at her home. She was the companion of Sebastian "Sonny" Mancino, with whom she shared 34 years together.

Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late David Frank McClure and Lillian May Mulvaney McClure. She attended the Romansville Methodist Church and had been employed at the former Embreeville Hospital as a Nursing Aide. Betty enjoyed gardening, her pets and was an excellent baker and cook.
