Stephanie S. Holman, 65, of Downingtown, PA, passed away on March 13, 2024, at The Chester County Hospital. Born in West Chester, PA, and raised in Coatesville, PA, she was the daughter of the late John T. and Marie (Scrivanich) Blythe. 

She is survived by her children, Angela, Amanda, Tabitha, Sabrina, Joshua, and Zachary-Isaiah, 20 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.

"AJ", Alexander Michael Balla Jr., 28, of Honey Brook, PA, passed away suddenly on Sunday, April 7, 2024, as the result of a motorcycle accident.  Born in Coatesville, PA, he was the son of Alexander Balla Sr. and Sherry (Schwoerer) Balla, and the stepson of Denise E. (Thompson) Balla.

AJ graduated from Pequea Valley High School and Lancaster County VoTech where he excelled in carpentry.  He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army where he specialized as a combat engineer.

Janet Ayers Riley, 80, of Coatesville, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 8, 2024, at her residence in Freedom Village at Brandywine. Born on December 24, 1943, in Havre de Grace, MD, she was the daughter of the late F. Ellis and Mildred Emma Crossan Ayers.  Janet shared 53 years of marriage with William (Bill) Rodger Riley, whom she dearly missed after his death in 2019.

Carol E. Messner, 75, of Honey Brook, PA, passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2024, in Narvon, PA.  Born in Coatesville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Edward G. and Olive B. (Thompson) Bell.

Carol was an area resident all her life and was a graduate of the Coatesville School District. She retired from Pepperidge Farm in Denver, PA, where she worked in the bakery.

She enjoyed spending time with her dog Layla, spending time at the bay at Crafthaven in Perryville, MD, fishing, crocheting doilies, blankets, and stockings, and watching her beloved Phillies.

Rachael Elizabeth Precise, 36, of New Holland, passed away at her home on Friday, April 5, 2024 surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of Austin M. Precise with whom she shared 16 years of marriage. Born in Lancaster she was the daughter of Bruce Marshman of Bowmansville, PA and Paula Minor of Colorado. 

Rachael faithfully served as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Moravian Manor of Lititiz, PA. 

She is survived, in addition to her husband, by three daughters; Addison, Harmony and Noelle all at home.

Charles R. Killinger, 93, formerly of Pomeroy, PA, passed away on Friday, April 5, 2024, in Coatesville, PA. He was the husband of the late Florie (Pugh) Killinger who passed away in 2022, and his first wife, the late Kattie Elsie Killinger, who passed away in 1974.  Born in Limeville, Salisbury Township, Lancaster County, he was the son of the late Reuben and Silvia (Martin) Killinger.

Randolph "Randy"  Blake Buchanan, 60, of Coatesville, PA, passed away at his home on Friday, March 22, 2024.  He was the husband of the late Stephanie Buchanan. Born in Coatesville, PA, he was the son of Marjorie H. (Smith) Seiple and the late Allen Seiple.

Randy was a graduate of Coatesville Area School District and at one time owned and operated R&S Mowing Service along with his children. He was also a machine operator for Omega Flex in Exton, PA.

John D. Warmijak Jr., 76, of Honey Brook, PA, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, in York, PA.  He was the husband of the late Dorothy B. Warmijak who passed away in 2022.  Born in Coatesville, PA, he was the son of the late John D. Warmijak Sr. and Vera  E. Hardy Warmijak.

Debra M. Crothers, 63, of Modena, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at the Chester County Hospital in West Chester, PA. Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late Donald M. Crothers, Sr. and Mildred Wilmott Crothers. 

Debbie was an area resident all her life. She attended the Coatesville Area Senior High School. She was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant and worked at the Pocopson Home for many years.
