Dear Gladys and family,
I am so sorry for your loss. During the short time you were here in Decatur, AL, those of us that worked with Larry at Worthington grew to love him and respect him greatly. He was truly a wonderful person, who was always helpful and interested in anything he could do to be helpful and to make this place a better place to work. He was truly a loyal team member and I know he will be missed by many for a very very long time. All of you will be in my prayers during this very difficult period.
God Bless.

To the Wertz Family:
I knew your husband/Dad from our time at Worthington Steel in Malvern. The individual I grew to know over the years was one easy to respect. Rare to see is an individual with strong dedication and one with true beliefs. Knowing others truly cared, believed and would follow through with their words was all the support he needed. I, as well as others, knew anything he undertook would be handled with true inspiring dedication until completed. While not knowing Larry away from the work environment, I know his family was deeply important to him. We shared many conversations about this subject. I have followed his path after leaving Alabama through other friends and colleagues.
My best to the family during this difficult time, and we will all miss a true friend, but one we will meet again.
Just saw this on internet
Worked with Larry at Malvern, so sad.
