Sandra "Sandy" E. Ettien, 78, of Coatesville, PA, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, December 14, 2024.  She was the beloved daughter of the late Martin and Virginia Yamshak.  She was predeceased by her loving husband, George H. Ettien, who passed away in 2021.  Together, Sandy and George shared 54 years of marriage, marked by a deep love and a lasting partnership.

A lifelong resident of Coatesvile, Sandy was a proud member of the Scott Senior High School class of 1965.  She devoted over 30 years to her career at Pepperidge Farm in Downingtown and Denver, PA, where she formed lifelong friendships and earned the admiration of colleagues.

Sandy's zest for life was apparent in everything she did.  She had a passion for shopping and treasured spending time and going out to lunch with her children, grandchildren, family, and friends.  Monthly lunches with her retired Pepperidge Farm colleagues were one of her many joys, as were the road trips she took with her loved ones.  Whether it was a quick local excursion or a longer journey to national treasures across the United States, Sandy was always up for an adventure.

She was a devoted and loving mother to her children, Michael (Diane), Kenneth (Tonia), and Denise (Craig) Ebling, all of Coatesville.  Sandy's proudest role. however, was that of "Mom-Mom" to her 9 grandchildren; Blakely, Jack, Emily, Kenneth Jr., Sage, Addison, Erin, Amanda Cocci (Jake), and Jeanine Ebling.  Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Sandy was also preceded in death by her brother, Martin J. Yamshak, who passed away on December 14, 2023, one year ago to the day.

A Woman of warmth, generosity, and boundless love, Sandy will be dearly missed by all who knew her.  her memory will live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, extended family, and many friends.

Condolences

My Deepest Sympathy to the family and friends of Sandy’s. Not only was Sandy my first cousin, she was also one of my best friends. As teenagers, we were inseparable, going to the mountains in Pottery County and to the local dances. And after our men passed away we enjoyed monthly lunches when we would catch up on what our families did during that month. I will also miss our phone calls during the month. Golly, I loved her and will miss her. 💔

This message is intended for the entire family of Sandy (Sandra) Ettien. I was so sorry to learn of Mrs. Ettien's passing; in fact, it was more akin to shock. Please accept my brother's and my most sincere sympathy. She was a good friend to my brother and a kind friend to me. She and my brother spoke more often than I had realized. And, there were many good, kind, and often humorous exchanges --- especially as concerned falling trees. I pray that she is safe with George, and thank each and everyone of you who may have been there for your father, your mother and my brother. Wishing blessings all the way around, Margerie
