Shirley was a devoted Mt Zion AME Church Class Leader.  Though she was unable to visit the members of her class, she would call them to check on them, send cards, and pray with them on the phone.

Shirley served the Lord at Mt Zion AME Church in many ways.  She was the president of the Evelina Hill Missionary Society, Superintendent of the Sunday School, a Sunday School teacher, the Vice Chair of the Steward Board, member of the United Choir, the J.B. We are so sorry to here about the loss of Ms. Shirley. We missed her calling to check on us. She called us her Lovebirds. She had the most beautiful singing voice and we enjoyed her leading the choir. Now she will be singing on the Heavenly choir. I know that the family will have many beautiful memories of her life and some of those memories will make you smile. We hope those memories will help ease your loss of a wonderful woman of God. May God bless and keep you all!
