Barbara Jean Chenger

Barbara J. Gay Chenger, 88, of Coatesville, PA, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, in West Chester, PA.  She was the wife of the late George J. Chenger who passed away in 2016.  Born in Coatesville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ted and Pearl (Romig) Gay.

Barbara graduated from Scott High School in Coatesville and worked at Bentley Harris Manufacturing in Lionville, PA.  She accepted Christ as her savior and occasionally attended the Hephzibah Baptist Church in East Fallowfield, PA. While she enjoyed attending the Hephzibah women's day trips. She had a deep love and concern for her brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her son, David W. Chenger of Coatesville, brothers, Charles (Joyce) Gay of North Fort Myers, FL, and James Gay of Myrtle Beach, SC, and sister, Norma Davis of Coateville.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. at Longwood Cemetery in Kennett Square, PA.
