Our thoughts and prayers are extended to you Vickie and your family. I so enjoyed working and socializing with Steve through RSDSA it has been a pleasure. As difficult as it is being full-body, we both shared the same goals in hoping one day that cure would materialize and we all would find that pain-free moment. God bless him for aiding so many in that cause. He was a gentle giant, a great friend to many and will surely be missed. Rest in peace dear friend, you did well for all.

Beth and I send our condolences to all of the family, especially Margaret and Jonathan, Vickie and Tara.  Steve was a great friend for a long time.  We and our family have many fond memories of Steve.  I have many memories of music together and episodes both funny and revealing.  Steve did not let a tragic accident stop him, but used it to guide his life and create his passion.  We will think of him often.  May God bless Steve and all of the family.

I am in shock right now.  I had been working for Steve since 2000 off an on as his secretary/paralegal in many of his offices.  I would come back from time to time to help him on various cases.  I remember when Tara was born, he was such a proud dad!  We always talked about children, since he's known my 26 and 30 year old sons since they were little.  We had just had a conversation in June and he sounded so upbeat then.  I am so sorry for your loss.  What a true genuine good guy and a lover of justice for those who were injured due to no fault of their own.  His own experience always inspired me and I will truly miss him!  Please accept my condolences.

I'm now 51. When I was a young puppy lawyer, I used to hang out in Steve's office with whom I shared office space. He'd always be knee deep in some legal issue for his client. We would talk about his cases. When I had difficult legal issues to deal with for my clients, he was always willing to lend a helping hand or mind. He had always "been there, done that". As a grew in this profession, Steve would often turn to ME for advice. What an honor that was to be helping a mentor of mine. I could tell he was proud of my career. He was extremely proud to become a father. He talked about home life often. I learned that he was a former English or History teacher. I was always impressed by that. It was nice to hear about his intellectual education background other than what was found in the law. Steve was a friend, a mentor, a great lunch partner.....a real "lawyer's lawyer". He gave true meaning to the term "Philadelphia lawyer". I will miss Steve and our long chats about life and the law. He helped me with my career and was always in my corner. I'll always be grateful to him. Steve, I hope you enjoy your books and are proud of your life. I am. Take care, my friend.
