Thomas Kirby Maxwell, 67, of Wagontown, PA, passed away at his home on Saturday, March 25, 2023.  He was the husband of Patricia Jane "PJ" Moore Maxwell for over 36 years.  Born in West Grove, PA, he was the son of the late Richard S. and Margaret S. Baily Maxwell.

Thomas retired from the Coatesville Veterans Medical Center and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Oxford.

In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter, Meri Leigh Wood of Quarryville, PA, grandchildren, Alyssa and Arihanna Wood, and siblings Richard S. Maxwell of Lincoln University, PA, and Steven Maxwell of Coatesville.  He was preceded in death by a sister, Kristen Headlee.  Also included are his wife's brothers, Bob (Jan), Jerry (deceased) Moore, Gene (Suzanne), Nick and Frank Crenee - Babetski, sister in law Katie Thomas. and many loving nieces and nephews and a special friend Barb Domsotin and the many loving hearts of Hospice.

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Wilde Funeral Home of Parkesburg, PA. Online condolences can be posted at www.wildefuneralhome.com

I am very sorry for your loss. Tom was always so helpful when I worked with him at the VA, always with a smile on his face and great demeanor.  May the wonderful memories of him give you some peace at this time.

Tom was always there for staff and patients here at Coatesville VA Medical Center. What a great man and a honor to work with him.

Tom, was a great guy here at the VA.  Always was willing to go the extra mile for us.  He will be missed.  Heaven is fuller now that they have another true genuine soul.
