Barbara Olise Ahern, 67, of Elverson passed away on November 12, 2022 at her home. She was the wife of the late James J. Ahern, Jr. for over 33 years. Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late Albert A. and Rose Sabo Olise.
She was a 1973 graduate of CASH. She graduated from Premier Barber Institute in Norristown in 1979. She worked as a barber at D'Ascanio's Family Hairstyling in Malvern.
Barbara always enjoyed spending time in the sun by a pool or the beach, and especially looked forward to her yearly trip to Cancun with her husband and her sister and brother in law. In her free time she enjoyed cooking for friends and family, especially Italian and Slovak dishes she learned from her parents. Barbara enjoyed going to family gatherings, and was usually the most photographed at any gathering.
Barbara is survived by her sons, Brett Ahern and Brad Ahern, and her sister Regina Olise Brecht (Joseph) of West Caln, nephew Erik Brecht (Lori) of Parkesburg, and sister in law, Susan Ahern (Maxine) of Lewes, DE, and many cousins.
A memorial service will be held at Wilde Funeral Home on Monday, November 28, 2022 at 11:00 AM with visitation from 10:00 - 11:00 AM.
