Linda Lou Wertz, 74, of Parkesburg, died on Saturday, August, 13, 2022 at her home. She was the widow of the late Charles "Chuck" Wertz who died in 2012. Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Wingert and Phyllis Compton Wingert.

Linda was an area resident all her life. She was a member of the Parkesburg United Methodist Church. She brought many smiles through her years of Customer Service, most known from Parkesburg Longeneckers. Her fondest memories were as a Miester Singer and a traveling Choral Soloist; while also sharing her beautiful voice at many weddings. After suffering from a vocal cord injury, she still kept up with her passion through many weekends on the Karaoke stage.  Her family was her true joy, she was such a doting Mother & Mommom, and nothing brought her more happiness than seeing all generations together and going back and forth with a big "I love you MORE" with a bowl of mac-n-cheese!

She is survived by her devoted companion John A. "Jack" Simmons, Jr. of Parkesburg, four children; Timothy Hart and wife Karrie of Gap, PA, Randy Hart and wife Megan of Los Angeles, CA, Stacey Stirling and husband Kevin of Cochranville and Daniel Hart and wife Katherine of Oxford, PA, 18 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and two sisters; Charlotte Paxson Massi of Lebanon, PA and Frannie Clites of Juanita County, PA.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 22, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the Parkesburg United Methodist Church, 411 Main St. Parkesburg, PA 19365. Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing at the church from 1:00 PM to the time of the service.
