Roger James Foster

Roger James Foster, 82, of Coatesville, passed away on Friday, June 10th, 2022 at his home.  He was the beloved husband of Alice (Wallace) Foster, with whom he shared 61 years of marriage.

Born in Coatesville, Roger was the son of the late Mildred Mae (Bryan) and Leon James Foster.  

Roger worked for Lukens Steel for 40 years as a Heater Technician.  

Roger loved watching the Phillies and he used to enjoy trout fishing and deer hunting in Potter County. Roger loved collecting tools and knives and his daily outings for his cups of coffee. Christmas and Thanksgiving were his favorite holidays. Every Christmas he was the caller for the family Bingo game and used his sense of humor to keep it fun.  Most of all, he loved his family.

Roger is survived, in addition to his wife, by his two children: Kathy Sizemore of Pomeroy, and Kenny Foster, husband of Holly of Parkesburg; four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.  He was predeceased by his daughter, Kimberly Foster and his siblings, Judy Elvin and Donald Foster.

The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 16th at 11 AM at Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main Street, Parkesburg, Pa, with a visitation from 10 AM until the time of the service.  Interment will follow the service at Hephzibah Baptist Cemetery in East Fallowfield.
