Constance S. Smith, 89, of Parkesburg, passed away on Saturday, March 5th, 2022 under the care of Hickory House Nursing Home of Honey Brook.  She was the widow of the late Earl Smith, with whom she shared 40 years of marriage.  

Born in Philadelphia, Constance was the daughter of the late Margaret (Harris) and Joseph Swyderski.  She was a 1949 graduate of the former Parkesburg High School.  Constance worked as a Sales Clerk at the former Jamesway Department Store of Thorndale for over 25 years.  

She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Consolation Church in Parkesburg.

Constance is survived by her children: Richard Smith, husband of Valerie, of Wauwatosa, WI, Kathryn Hagan, wife of John Krisch, of Coatesville, David Smith, husband of Marlene, of Coatesville, Matthew Smith of Coatesville, and Christopher Smith, husband of Lisa, of Parkesburg; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.

Constance was predeceased by her four siblings, Veronica Moncuso, Robert Swyderski, Andrew Swyderski and Madeline Moore, one daughter, Phyllis Tursack, one grandchild, one great grandchild and daughter-in-law Paula Smith.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 25, 2022 at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Consolation Church, 603 W 2nd Ave, Parkesburg, PA 19365, with a visitation at the church from 9:30 AM to the time of the service. Inurnment will follow at the Our Lady of the Seven Dolors Cemetery, Parkesburg, PA.

I am so sad to hear this.I worked with Connie at Jamesway. We had so much fun,and giggle time. Connie taught me a lot about being a good person,because that is what she was <3 Such a sweet loving friend,I will always remember her,My friend,my sweet FRIEND   RIP Connie till we meet again.,

So sorry to hear of Connie 's passing . I worked with her at Jamesway for years, A very nice lady , always had a smile for everyone ! Her son Chris and my son started Kindergarden together ! My condolesces Chris and all your family .

RIP Mrs. Smith.  My heartfelt condolences go out to Kathy, Rick, David, Christopher and Matthew and the entire extended family.  I have many fond memories of your Mom over the years dating back to when I was around 11 or 12 years old and used to come for sleepovers.  She was a wonderful person whom I had the utmost of respect for.  She will be missed by many….
