Alice Jean Wertz, 82, of Gap, PA, passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at the Lancaster General Hospital in Lancaster, PA. She was the wife of the late Thomas E. Wertz, Sr. who died recently back in February of this year. They shared 65 years of marriage together. Born in West Chester, PA, she was the daughter of the late Paul Kreider and Josie Combs Kreider.
She is survived, by five children; Karen Stoltzfus and husband D. David of Ephrata, PA, Thomas Wertz, Jr. and wife Cindy of Narvon, PA, Teresa Wertz of Paradise, PA, Sharon Wertz of Gap, PA, and Gail Yonce of Manheim, PA, 12 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and five siblings; Gladys Wertz of Mifflintown, PA, Rachel Hadden of Morgantown, PA, Betty Gartside of Delaware and Jerry Kreider of West Chester, PA. She was preceded in death by one daughter Sandra Bulick and two brothers; Richard and William Kreider.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at the Wilde Funeral, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA with a viewing from 10:00 AM until the start of the service. Interment will directly follow at Glen Run Cemetery, Atglen, PA.
