Barbara J. McGinnis, 71, of Philadelphia, passed away on Monday, October 4th, 2021 under the care of Jefferson Hospital.  

Born in Coatesville, Barbara was the daughter of the late Minerva (Lantz) and George I. McGinnis.  She was a graduate of Octorara High School and earned her undergraduate degree from Thomas Jefferson University.  

Barbara is survived by her beloved son, Gaeton Nibbio; siblings, Pearl Canale, wife of Ed, of Gap, Sharon Stoltzfus, wife of Calvin, of Gap, Roger McGinnis, husband of Janet, of Gap, Doris McGinnis of Parkesburg, Darlene Porter of Paradise, and Christine Landis of Paradise.  She was predeceased by her brothers, George, Daryal, and Fred McGinnis.

I’m sorry to hear that Barb has passed. She was instrumental in pulling together our 50th class reunion 4 years ago and was a big part of the fun. I pray her family will experience some peace knowing that she lived a fully involved life to the end. Rest In Peace friend!

Seeing and talking with Barb at our 50th brought back many great memories of our time together when your family lived at our farm. My sincere condolences to you all.
