Jack L. Wright, Sr., 83, of Coatesville passed away at Brandywine Hospital on Tuesday, September 14, 2021. Born in Honey Brook, he was the son of the late James Forrest Wright and Mary (Troupe) Wright. He was the beloved husband of Joyce (Smith) Wright with whom he shared 40 years of marriage.
Jack attended Coatesville Area Senior High School and went on to honorably serve our nation in The United States Navy. For several years, he was self-employed as a laborer, specializing in wood-working and plaster.
Jack was a member of the following organizations: Downingtown Moose Lodge 1153, Masonic Lodge of Parkesburg, West Caln Sportsman Club, Cruisin Classics, Chester County Antique Car Club, and Thorndale Fire Company.
He is survived in addition to his wife by three children: Dawn Reese, widow of the late Steve Reese of Coatesville, Jack Wright Jr. and wife Kathy of Leola, and Brenda Lasak and husband Robert of Coatesville, 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and his sister Dorothy Reilly of Coatesville.
He is preceded in death by his granddaughter Heather Dawn Reese and four siblings: Jim Wright, Sue Wright, Betty Turner, and Walt Wright.
A graveside service will take place at 11 AM on Monday, October 4, 2021, at Fairview Cemetery, 786 Oak St, Coatesville, PA 19320.
