Helen Sue Pizii Rau, 63, of West Caln, passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of William Carey Rau, Jr. with whom she shared 39 years of marriage. Born in West Chester, PA, she was the daughter of the late Albert Rocco Pizii and Nicolette Ippolito Pizii.
Helen was an area resident all her life and a 1976 graduate of Downingtown High School. She was employed for 23 years by QVC in West Chester. She was a dedicated employee and excelled in her career. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved family cookouts, swimming in the pool, family gatherings, and walking through the woods with her dogs. She is well known by her family for her homemade sauce and pizzelles. She had a love for all genres of music. She enjoyed spending time away with family in the Mountains. She was a child of god and a devoted member to Gateway Church.
Helen is survived, in addition to her husband, by two children; Tiffany Overstreet and husband Christopher of Coatesville and William Rau, III and wife Ashley of Honey Brook, three grandchildren; Christopher Overstreet, Colton Overstreet, Jr. and Malia Rau, five siblings; Anna Marie Conover of Hanover, PA, Gloria Jean Ford of Coatesville, PA, Camillo Albert Pizii (Yolanda) of Phoenix, AZ, Rosemary Pizii Bankert (Curvin) of Hanover, PA, Anthony Joseph Pizii (Janice) of Walloon Lake, MI, twenty one nieces and nephews, thirty three great nieces and nephews, and two great-great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 25, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Gateway Church, 160 Cowan Road, Parkesburg, PA 19365. Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing at the church from 9:00 AM to the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Gateway Church at the above address.

Another Angel, was taken, home with her savior. I was around Sue and her family at times, What a happy person she was. I too will remember always. What a great family she had as well. My prayers for the family as well . God Bless

I am so sorry to hear of Sue's passing, many great Madcar times. I am out of the state and will not attend her funeral. Love to her family Janet Bronson

How very sorry i am to all of Sue's family at this time. My heart is heavy to hear of dear Sue's passing. We had gone to school together and she was always a very friendly kind natured person to me. May the lord hold her close and blessings of strength threw this difficult time wished for all the loved ones.

I knew Sue from QVC and worked with her for almost 4 years and she was always helpful, kind, went out of her way to make you feel "at home" in her jewelry vault. A very nice and respectful person. She will be missed. Prays for the family of this sudden loss.

Suzi was a Hall of Fame person
I first met Suzi a long time ago, she was 18 and had just graduated high school and got a job working in the cafeteria at Burroughs Corporation (Bldg 8) on Boot Road in Downingtown, preparing and serving food everyday to the hundreds of employees. She was special. She was the friendliest, kindest person, always smiling and so much fun to talk to. She was a hard worker, always in a good mood even though it was hot behind the food counter. She loved sports, especially the Phillies and Eagles. I swear the food tasted better because she was serving it. She had the cutest smile. Everything she did, she did with TLC (tender loving care). She was a good sport and was always ready to help someone. She was not a needy person, she was a giver. She loved her family and was the pride of her mother Nicky and father Al Pizii. I'm sure her Mom and Dad gave her the biggest hug as she walked through the pearly gates. To all her close friends, co-workers, siblings, and beloved family, especially Billy, her children and grandchildren and all her cousins and nieces and nephews. I offer my most heartfelt condolences. I'm sure her spirit and fun-loving personality and friendly smile and happy eyes will seen in her kids and grandkids. She will be missed and never forgotten. Rest in peace Suzi. xo
