On the evening of Saturday, 27 February 2021, Dolores (Dee) Rita Leifholt, 82, of Pomeroy Heights, passed away peacefully at her home. She was the beloved wife of Robert Leo Leifholt with whom she shared 64 years of marriage. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Grassey and Dorothy Horton Grassey.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children, Patricia Ann Highfield of Coatesville, Steven Robert and wife Jacqui of Morgantown, and John Francis-Xavier and wife Inez of Pomeroy Heights. Her grandchildren and great grandchild are Christopher, Emily, Donnalee, Nicholas, Henry, Benjamin, and Wyatt. Her siblings are Donald, David, Douglas, Doris, Dennis, Daniel, and Michael.

She was a 1956 graduate of St.Hubert's Catholic High School in Philadelphia.  

Over the years, Dee was employed by Bell Telephone, QVC, and Barnes and Noble. She was also a school bus driver for the Coatesville school district for thirteen years.  

The Leifholt family would like to take this opportunity to express their heart-felt gratitude to Always Best Care and Holisticare Hospice for the care and attention they afforded Dee in the final weeks leading up to her passing. 

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 404 Charles St. Coatesville, PA 19320 with visitation from 9:30 AM to the time of the service.

To protect those at-risk, please wear a mask and practice social distancing at the Church.

 

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Wilde Funeral Home of Parkesburg. Online Condolences can be posted at www.wildefuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital or another charity of your choice in memory of Dee.

Dee was such a beautiful soul and a joy to talk with at every family gathering. She will be missed greatly. My heart goes out to Bob, Tricia, Steve, and John and all her loved ones.

I have no doubt that I will never meet a kinder more compassionate person than Dee.  Her smile was so genuine that you just knew she was the real thing.  We feel a great loss but heaven has gained a true Angel!!!

I believe that Dee was an angel on earth. As soon as I met her, I knew she was a very special person and I was blessed to have known her. All of you are in my thoughts and prayers. She will always be in your heart and may your loving memories bring you peace and comfort.  Vicki

Dear Bob and family, My heartfelt sympathies go out to all of you. Dee was a great friend to my mom and all of our family. Dee was a very pleasant and kind lady. Remembering her wonderful and gentle soul will forever remain in our hearts. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dee was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and loyal friend to so many.  We shared our faith, prayed for one another, and enjoyed talking about our grandchildren.  She was a shining light to everyone who knew her.  I will miss her terribly.

Robert and Family,
We are so very sorry for your loss. Dee was a wonderful, sweet and lovable woman. It was always a joy to see her with a smile on her face. She will be missed.
