Deborah J. DeLoretta, 69, of Parkesburg, passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2021 after a short illness. She was the beloved wife of Joseph A. DeLoretta with whom she shared 29 years of marriage. Born in Shenandoah, PA, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Maurer and Helen Howard Maurer.

Debbie was an area resident most of her life.  She graduated from the Coatesville Area High School in 1969 and was employed by Arcelor Mittal USA of Coatesville as a Sales Representative.

As we gather to celebrate Debbie's life, it's hard to imagine that just a few short days ago she was doing what she enjoyed most -- giving Joe a hard time.

As a mother, wife and grandmother, Debbie's love had no bounds.  No request was too big or small.  Talking with her children and grandchildren and relaying stories about their successes was the highlight of her day.

She loved not just her immediate family, but all who entered into her life.  That includes the many colleagues and customers and of course, let us not forget the boxers, Zoe and Zeus.  She loved the warmth and companionship they brought and felt they helped make the house a home.

The kitchen was Debbie's domain.  She not only enjoyed decorating and cleaning it, but even more, she enjoyed cooking, baking and experimenting with new tastes and flavors.  She took the most delight watching as her creations disappeared from our plates.

Debbie enjoyed what she considered to be a simple and fulfilling life.  With no monuments or parades to remind future generations of her passion to help others in time of need, her name will soon be forgotten by many.  But that's okay.  She was a happy, giving person who truly enjoyed life's small pleasures.

Debbie will be missed. Her dry sense of humor was as unique as she was.  But in our sorrow we must remember that she loved each and every one of us.

And that's why her memory will live forever in our hearts.

In addition to her husband, Debbie is survived by four children; Gregory W. Frame and wife Candace of Northampton, PA, Brian Frame of Reading, PA, Angela Orloski and husband Walt of Oxford, PA and Brian DeLoretta and wife Abbie of Phillipsburg, PA, 10 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and two brothers; Raymond Maurer of Lawrenceville, GA and Dennis Maurer of Downingtown, PA.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Consolation Church, 603 W 2nd Ave, Parkesburg, PA 19365 with visitation at the church from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM.  A live stream will begin at 10:30am, which can be accessed by clicking here.

In Lieu of flowers, you can make donations in her memory to the Military Order of the Purple Heart, Chapter 1777 of Coatesville, in honor of Clarence Maurer, 157 Stoyer Road, Coatesville, 19320 C/O Dennis Kukulka, or Brandywine Valley SPCA, 1212 Phoenixville Pike, West Chester, PA 19380.

In order to protect those at-risk, please wear a face mask and practice social distancing while at the Church.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wilde Funeral Home of Parkesburg.

It's taken me some time to post this. Not because I didn't know what to say but simply because words can only express feelings to some degree. With that said, I will try my very best because that's exactly what you deserve. First of all, I want to say "Thank you." The way you welcomed Gianna and I into your family was beyond remarkable. I could never thank you enough or express the way it made me feel. Your effortless ability to demonstrate unconditional love, care, support and guidance to our family was priceless. Your genuine want to lend an ear and give advice to Greg and I was exceptional and always appreciated. You selflessly restrained from ever making negative comments or judgment, even at times I'm sure it was hard to show restraint. Although our time as a family was much too short, you certainly left your mark on the kind of wife, mother and one day grandmother that I strive to be. I will missed our conversations about food and cooking...I will certainly miss your like no other mashed potatoes! Most of all, I will miss you. I will think of you and smile every time I drink a glass of Moscato. Your contagious personality and laughter will forever resonate in our minds and hearts. I know you will be looking after all of us because that's what you did and have always done. It's just in your nature and what you do. It's what made you, you.
All my love,
~Candace

'For everything you've done and everything you are, thank you. You are the light that shines.' Brian Andreas

Mom, you are, always have been, and always will be, a shining light to our family. Words cannot express how grateful and lucky I am to have had you as a mother figure. You have certainly set the bar high when it comes to being a good mother. The boys are lucky to have had someone as caring and compassionate as you as their Mom-Mom. I wish we had more time together. Love you always Mom. ❤️

Joe and family, I am so very sorry for your pain and sadness right now. Debbie was a wonderful person and the best cousin. I always felt so close to her and love talking and spending time together. I will miss her more then she might have realized. Family was important to her and she loved all of you so much. I'm glad that I got a chance to talk with her before this happened. We were both hoping to see everyone soon; now it will be a bit longer. I know she's with all of our family right now and will be there to greet us when it's our time. Sending all of you love and prayers. Jill

Mrs. D.

It was 22 years ago when Angela, Ashley, and I first met in 9th grade that a beautiful friendship was born. Over those years, we continued to carefully nurture and tend to our friendship with one another, always staying close and making time for one another. Those girls, quite simply, are blessings in my life and my best friends even all these years later.

But you know what the bonus was? Gaining you and Mr. D as extended family through our friendship with Angela ❤️. You ALWAYS made us girls feel like family when we would come to your house or if we would be at gatherings together. Your hospitality was second-to-none. We felt your love with each encounter.

My most cherished memory of you was your sense of humor. I knew if I had the opportunity to see you at a birthday party or other gathering, my heart would swell with happiness and joy because of how much you’d make me laugh. Your sweet banter with Mr. D was always one of my favorites and earned the most giggles ❤️.

You not only were so kind to me growing up but once I became a mommy, you were always a sweetheart to my Mila. You had such a good heart. You brought so much light to this world, and I hope you know how much I loved the gift of knowing you❤️.

Love,

Gina

I have a hole in my heart because of my sorrow of the passing of my sister, my confidant, the jokester, and more than all my best friend. So many good times to remember that will help ease the pain. I love you and will miss you until we're together again. So little sister, rest with the angels and all of your beloved pets that have gone before. I know your spirit will bring joy to those around you because that's what you did for all of us that are left behind.

Dear Joe & Family,

We are so sorry for the sadness you are all going through during this difficult time. We all loved Debbie, not only because she was family, but because she was genuine.  Her sense of humor and quick wit was always a hit at our parties and family gatherings.  But most importantly her love for all of you stood out above everything.  So Debbie, goodbye is not forever, it simply means until we meet again.

Love, Larry, Brenda & Keely and Aunt Bitsy

To Joe and family, it is with heavy heart of hearing about the passing of Debbie. She was such a wonderful person and I was blessed to have known her thru work. Debbie helped me immensely learning all the different aspects of Coatesville, she was so patient with me. May God give you strength to get through this difficult time and cherish the memories.
