Aunt Doris was very special
Aunt Doris was very special especially to her Michigan family. We will cherish many many memories of family summer vacation , then again over the past 20 or so years as adults. Never one to turn down a trip to the casino or out for good meal! She loved the turtle soup ( with sherry) at the Revere Inn and the peanut butter pillows from the candy store. She absolutely loved going to Maryland for grab as that where her and Uncle Franny went often . She will be greatly missed especially when we are visiting PA. R I P Aunt Doris , you were one of a kind. As a cousin said recently when she passed," I hope God is ready for her".
A lifetime of memories
Doris was my Nanny's best friend when I was growing up. She was always there. At the cabin, at the picnic. Her husband was one of the sweetest people I have ever known. I ran into Doris a few years ago, and she sent me a Christmas card so we could stay in touch. I am sorry that I didn't get another chance to chat with her. My condolences to her family, as they have lost a hilarious free spirit.
