My first memory of Dave is from the early 1970s when my dad had a water problem at his trailer court. He called Dave to check out the electric to the submersible pump. It was a Sunday and 27 families were without water. Dave did some tests and determined the pump was bad. We immediately became professional plumbers, and proceeded to pull the pump from the well using pipe wrenches and a step ladder set up on the tailgate of the truck. The 3 horsepower pump was hung on 5 - 20 foot sections galvanized pipe. We were down to the last section holding the pump when we lost the whole thing down the well. Dave, wisely, got in his van and went home. I was left to take all the abuse! Dad had to get a well driller in to retrieve the pump. Dave & I reconnected through our affiliation in the Masonic fraternity and became good friends. My heart goes out to all the Tennant family.
