Edith W. Armstrong

Edith W. Armstrong, 93. of West Grove, PA, died on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at the Twin Pines Nursing Home in Chatham, PA after a brief illness.

Born in McDowell, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Clement G. and Mary Emma Wilson Armstrong.  She graduated from West Fallowfield High School in 1942. She was formally employed as a store clerk at the Jennersville General Store and the Lamborn Hardware Store.  She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and family gatherings.

Edith was preceded in death by her sister, Virginia A. Hogg of West Grove, and nieces Peggy Keefer, Patsy Adams, Frances Crawford, and Norma Moore.  She is survived by nieces, Betty Lou Heibeck of West Grove, and Linda Yerkes of Cochranville, and nephews, Howard C. Hogg  of Kelton, Pa., William L Hogg of Peach Bottom and Charles G. Hogg of West Grove.  Her extended family also includes many great-nieces and nephews and their families.

A memorial service will be held on June 30, 2018 at 11:00 AM, at the West Grove Presbyterian Church, 139 Evergreen St., West Grove, PA 19390.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Luther Foundation, 122 Jenners Pond Road, West Grove, PA 19390.
