Helen M. Pirches, 73, life long resident of Parkesburg, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday February 18, 2009 at the Lancaster General Hospital. She was the wife of Donald I. "Tex" Pirches with whom she shared 54 years of marriage. Born in Coatesville on March 28, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Harry "Bo" and Beatrice Dunlap Hanna. She was a member of the Kings Way Independent Church in Sadsburyville.
Helen was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed dogs, yard sales, cooking and shopping.
She is survived, in addition to her husband, by three children: Donald I. Pirches, Jr. of Parkesburg, Susan M. Hilton and Karen A. Pirches both of Coatesville, seven grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, a sister Doris Hammaker of Parkesburg and her little buddy "Little Fellow". She was preceded in death by an infant son Stevie Pirches.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at 11 AM from the Kings Way Independent Church, 55 Morris Lane, Sadsburyville, PA 19369, followed by interment in the Penningtonville Presbyterian Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of the service.
Please omit flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Kings Way Independent Church at the above address.
