Donald H. Welsh

Donald H. Welsh, 90, of Coatesville, passed away on Thursday, October 19th at the Paoli Memorial Hospital.  He was the beloved husband of Eleanor H. Welsh, with whom he shared 62 years of marriage.  

Born in Coatesville, Donald was the son of the late Emma (Hatfield) and Clyde Welsh.  He served honorably in the US Army during WWII as a Combat Engineer.  

Donald worked at the former Downingtown Paper Box (now "Dupaco") for 42 years as a Press Operator.  

He is survived, in addition to his wife, by four children: Kathleen Cellini of Honey Brook, Don R. Welsh, husband of Lisa, of Parkesburg, Randy Welsh, husband of Patty, of Parkesburg, and Mark D. Welsh of Lancaster; eight grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, one great, great grandchild, and one great, great, great grandchild, and his brother, Clyde Welsh, Jr. of Dover, DE.  He was predeceased by his grandson, Hunter Larabee.

The Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, October 26 at 11 AM at Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg with a viewing from 10 until 11 AM.  

Graveside interment for Donald and his wife, Eleanor will take place on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. from Birmingham Lafayette Cemetery, 1235 Birmingham Rd., West Chester, PA.
