Constance "Connie" Ickes, 73, of Coatesville, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Brandywine Hospital. She was the widow of the late Paul H. Ickes, Sr., who died in 1981 after they had shared 15 years of marriage.
Born in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of the late Carolyn (Becker) and Horace F. Drury.
She retired from Quad Graphics in 2016.
She was an avid reader, loved all Philly sports, especially the Flyers. In her younger years she loved working on the farm and enjoyed taking care of the farm animals.
Connie is survived by her three children: Vicki Schane, wife of Rob, of Honey Brook, Tina Bowers, wife of Bill, of Leesport, Pa., and Terry J. Ickes of Coatesville, Pa.; three grandchildren; and three siblings, Ann Roberts of Fairbanks, Alaska, Christian Drury of North Pole, Alaska, and David Drury of North Pole, Alaska.
She was predeceased by her brother Michael Drury.
The service will be private and at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers and due to her support of organ donation and her ultimate gift to the Gift of Life Donor Program, we ask memorial donations be made to Gift of Life Donor Program, 401 N. 3rd St., Philadelphia, Pa. 19123.
