Condolences

Although I did not know Floss Johnson well or for very long, I was blessed to have met her and talked with her at all. She was an elegant and strong lady, who had evidently lived a full life. May the God of all comfort bring consolation and peace to all who mourn her passing.

What wonderful memories I have of Flossie. She was  the person who got me to eat Skiles homemade scrapple when I was a young girl to being the best nursing mentor ever when we worked together in the Coatesville Hospital ED. My heart goes out to all of you. I am sure she and Hal are up there watching a baseball game. Fondly, Cheryl Hildenbrand Stirling

To Nelson and all the family,

Sadly we have lost the key players in our lives.  When the "boys" worked for Columbia Gas, Flossie and I were often the tag alongs.  Her reputation as a nurse was second to none.

Keep your memories alive - it helps.  Please know we care and are thinking of all of you.

My thoughts and love go out to you Jo. And of course to Olivia, Carole, Helen, Suellen, and Nelson. Growing up in Sadsburyville, I always felt like an honorary member of the Johnson family. Enjoyed our trips out to the Skiles farm. Nothing can compare to those days. And no matter how many times I showed up at your door, Flossie always welcomed me with a smile. What a blessing for us all who lived in the neighborhood. Rest peacefully dear Flossie. Sending my love. Cathy

Dear Nelson, Joann, Helen, Suellen and Carole....I'm sorry to hear that your Mom has passed away. I will always have wonderful memories of spending 2-3 weeks at your house every summer! Those were fun times and your Mom always took good care of me. She was a hard worker and a tough no-nonsense lady. I guess she took after Mom Mom....Dad is always telling us stories about how they weren't afraid of anything or anybody. During our last visit with her in October when I asked her how she was doing she said, "Oh..I'm alright I guess..it's just better if you don't get old!" I know you will miss her and so will we. God bless all of you.....you were all a great example of how children should take care of parents in their old age. Love and hugs to you all. Becky

To all the family, I am writing this on behalf of my father and I. You welcomed us both into your home, always made us welcome and did all you could to support us in our time of need. You will be greatly missed, but I myself believe that you are now at the side of God. Death is only hard for the living. I am truly sorry that I am not home nor will I be able to make it to your services. Thank you for your life, you will truly be missed  Doug and David Skiles
