Debra L. Ray, 60, of Cochranville, PA, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at the Chester County Hospital in West Chester, PA. She was the beloved wife of Leonard Darrrell Ray with whom she shared 34 years of marriage. Born in West Grove, PA she was the daughter of Julia Prange Powers of Rising Sun, MD and the late B.L. Letterman, Jr.

Debbie was a County resident all her life. She graduated from Goldie Beacom College and was employed as a software engineer for Softmart of Downingtown, PA. 

She was an active member of the Safe Harbor Baptist Church in Cochranville, PA.

She is survived, in addition to her husband and mother, by two children; Rebecca Woodhouse (Julian) of New Zealand and Daniel Ray of Cochranville and special aunt and uncle Francis and Betty Briley of West Grove, PA.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at 11:00am from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA. Followed by interment at the Faggs Manor Cemetery, Viewing from 10 to 11:00am.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to Paws for People, 703 Dawson Dr., Newark, DE 19713.

Debbie was a great person.   God took one of His best home the day she left us.   We are praying for all of you.  Debbie will be missed by many people.

To the Ray Family, from Half Moon Bay California, please accept my deepest condolences.
So thankful for her friendship, her spirit and energy during the high school years and after.
Being able to make our OAHS 40th reunion, catching-up with Debbie… all of it was such a highlight for me in 2014.   My thanks for her love to all of us there, for all her team-work getting that together, for the smiles, hugs and joy.
Again, thank you Debbie!  Will miss you very much.
