Shirley A. Cox Yoder, 68, of Coatesville, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2016, at Paoli Hospital. Born in West Chester, she was the daughter of the late Kina (Caudell) and Clifton Cox.
An area resident her entire life, Shirley graduated from Brandywine School of Nursing. She worked as an ICU nurse and also became a Home Infusion Care Nurse.
Shirley attended Upper Octorara Church of Parkesburg.
She is survived by her three children: Belinda Sutherland-Geesey of Narvon, Andrew W. Yoder, husband of Patricia, of Coatesville, and Shannon L. Yoder of Coatesville; six grandchildren, Cora, Lana and Kina Yoder, and Nicholas, Justin and Andrew Geesey; a great, granddaughter, Cecelia Rose; and siblings, Mertie Mills of Cochranville and Frances Duvall of West Grove.
Shirley was predeceased by her son David Sutherland and sister, Patty Jean.
The Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 27 at 12 noon at Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg with a visitation from 10 until 12 noon.

my grandmother was like my second parent i have missed her dearly , and through my times of greef i can feel her watching me from the heavens above ,and i am going to misss her so much i hope she knowsthat my last senrence i said to her as i love you momom good night . i wish their was some more meaning to that sentence but no just a simple sentence that was said her evry night ,but i would have never guessed that would have been my last time saying that to her my thoughts are with my whole family and all of my grandmothers friends and all te people that knw her .
