I am so sorry for your loss. I know it is tough losing a loved one. I would like to give you some words of encouragement that helped me cope. A lot of people have been told things by others all their life and they believe what they are told just because they want to believe it and it sounds wonderful. What I would like to tell you though is not my opinion or my thoughts but God’s thoughts from the Bible, so please look at your Bible and see the truth. God promises that we will live again but it is not like what most people think. Please look at Revelation chapter 21 and verses 3 & 4 very closely. If you notice here it talks about death and pain being no more now ask yourself is there pain and death in Heaven? That scripture is talking about right here on Earth a kingdom that will be set up and ruled by Jesus that will rid mankind of death and pain, please look at Daniel 2 verse 44 and see that this is a real kingdom. My condolences to Dot's family; she is now pain free and with your beloved Lord.  May the Peace and Grace of God sustain and comfort you.  She will always be remembered and loved by the family of Trinity Episcopal!  I especially remember her patience and humor one evening when she was trying to teach the Vestry her accounting methods!  "He only is my rock and my salvation, My stronghold; I shall not be greatly shaken."  -Psalm 62:2

Peace to Dot; I'm sure Jesus welcomed you with open arms.  Love and sympathy to her family.  When I was junior warden at Epsicopal Church of the Trinity, I would always make a point of stopping in the office to greet her;  tell her a corny joke or story, until I could get her to laugh; I saw through her 'toughness' to the heart below.  May memories sustain us all.

I had the distinct pleasure of getting to know Dot well in my role as treasurer of Trinity Church, Coatesville.  Her faith was unwavering, as was her work ethic.  She ran our church office with military precision for 35 years.  She was strong, kind and devoted to her family and her Lord.  I will miss her!  Minnie Kirwin
