Diane E. Vendetti, 69, of Parkesburg, passed away suddenly on Friday, November 6th at her home in Parkesburg. Born in Coatesville, she was the wife of Gary J. Vendetti.
Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late Margaret (McClay) and Nathan Nafe. An area resident her entire life, she was a 1964 graduate of Octorara High School. She was employed by P.E.C.O. for 38 years as an Executive Secretary.
Diane was a parishioner of the Our Lady of Consolation Church in Parkesburg
Diane is survived, in addition to her husband, by two brothers, Allen Nafe of Parkesburg and Dennis Nafe, husband of Cindy, of Mechanicsburg; and eight nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Kathleen Sergovic.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 14th at 11 AM at Our Lady of Consolation Church, 603 W 2nd Ave, Parkesburg, PA 19365 with visitation from 9 until 11 AM. Interment will follow at the Parkesburg Catholic Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made in Diane's memory to Chester County SPCA, 1212 Phoenixville Pike, West Chester, PA 19380.

One of the sweetest gals I have ever known. We were great childhood friends and I have many memories to cherish, lots of visits to the Catholic Church to light candles. Sorry I am so far away and can't be there on Saturday for her service but my heart will pay a visit to a dear old friend and I will say prayers for her husband and brothers. May they all find comfort at this very difficult time.

God brings the good ones home, first! First Kathy, and now you. Our family has been blessed to have had the both of you with us and someday we will all be together again, as family. Comparing the two of you isn't proper or just, but both of you were the two kindest, funniest, sweetest people that I've ever known. Just a few weeks ago, you laughed when I told you about when I was a kid, and always thinking that they modeled the statue of Mary's face (in our church) in your likeness. I will never look at that statue again and not think of the many wonderful memories that you left us with. Looking back, when you used to come over to babysit my sister and I, toting that stack of 45 records, perhaps this is where I developed my love for popular music. You taught us many things over the years and we will try to continue our lives, here using the example of the kindness that you showed to us. God Bless You, Cousin!

Food Manager Courses. We enjoyed the Taste of Home Shows for years and have shared many recipes which I will treasure forever. You will be greatly missed, God Bless You.

You are one of the finest people that I have ever met. I have been absolutely blessed that I was married to your sister Kathy. Then to have you as a sister-in-law was a double blessing. There have been many heartfelt sentiments written here about Diane and all of them are so true. She was just a beautiful person, both inside and out. I can speak for my Mother, (her Aunt Anne) that she feels like she lost a daughter. I also feel as though I have lost my big sister. It is really just starting to sink in and we are heartbroken. We take comfort in knowing that she is in heaven with her beloved sister and parents. Rest in Peace, sweet cousin.

Diane and I grew up in Parkesburg, went to school together and became good friends. I wasn't ready for the sadness I felt at Diane's service. The loss of a dear and wonderful friend was more than I had expected! I will truly miss her and her kindness and love of people. The class of 1964 has lost a true person to be remembered and loved.
