Gage Michael Towber, 18, of Paradise, passed away Thursday, August 13th in Ronks. Born in Lancaster, Gage is survived by his two parents Michael Lee Towber (husband of Lisa M. Towber) and Amber B. Besash (wife of Justin Trout). Gage's parents wrote him these letters:
For our loving son, we watched you grow over the years from a shy young boy into a mature young man. Although the world keeps turning and the sun comes up each day, life will never be the same since you have gone away. You were a special son, good, gentle and kind. You have left the greatest memories and thoughts of you behind. We only wish there was a way we could see you one more time to thank you for the joy you brought into our lives. We will love you always and forever. So much love, Dad, Lisa and family.
Dear Gage, the greatest joy I've ever done is the job of raising you. I wouldn't trade a minute of time I have spent caring for you, cheering for you and watching you grow. I have laughed with you and celebrated victories. I have worried about you and shared in your hurts. And through it all, you have filled my heart with love beyond compare. I am so proud of you. Love, Momma and Justin.
Gage is also survived by his sisters, Jocelyn S. Towber and Olivia G. Towber; and brothers, Zachary M. Oakes, Sawyer A. Towber, Nash C. Towber and Sabastian Lasher; maternal grandparents, Diane A. Rhodes and Jack Besash; and paternal grandparents, Mary E. Towber and Ken Miller.
A celebration of Gage's life will be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 from 4 PM until 10 PM at Factory Ministries (the old Elementary School of Paradise), 3293 Lincoln Highway, Paradise, Pa. The memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 23rd at 3 PM at Freedom Life Christian Center, 447 Noble Road, Christiana, PA 17509.

Amber and family, Mike and family -
I fondly recall Gage as a young boy, running around family meals, picnics, birthday parties - having a grand old time with the other children, laughing and enjoying the time spent with his loved ones. Bashful and sensitive, he was always a kind, thoughtful, and caring kid. Generous with his affection and quick to give you a hug, he was a shining example of a well behaved, loving child. This wasn't by chance, but by design, as his parents are equally as kind and considerate, thoughtful in the way they raise their children. A parent's goal in life is to shape their children to be better versions of themselves, and in that they were immensely successful. That success was no more evident than the fact that Gage had grown into a wonderful young man, with a bright future ahead of him, and limited only by his own imagination. It is because of that success that his passing is all the more painful and difficult to process - he was an extraordinary son, brother, grandson, great-grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. They say that only the good die young, and while it may be cliched, it couldn't be any more applicable and closer to the truth than with this young man's passing. He will be missed more than words can ever express; and, while the sun won't shine quite as brightly as it once did now that he is gone, it is a far better world to have had him in it. And for that, we should all be thankful. Gage, I love you, buddy, and I sure will miss seeing your smiling face and hearing your mom beam about your accomplishments. Amber, Jocelyn, Justin - I love you all and am so sorry for your loss. Diane - you were every bit a part of this young man's life as anyone, and my heart aches for you, as well. Mike - Gage was a great person, you raised a amazing son. Rest In Peace, Gage. You'll always be with us, buddy.

Mike,
Mike,
I don't have any words - only prayers for you and your family. I always struggle trying to understand why God would allow a parent to lose a child. But I know He has a plan and that you will be reunited with Gage once again. I know your faith and pray that our Lord will comfort you and surround your family with His love and peace. My heart is with you!

We are deeply sorry for your loss.
Amber&Jocelynn,
We are terribly sorry for your loss. Gage was such a wonderful, kind-hearted person. Cheyenne went to school with him, and she used to go to youth group with him. Though she wasn't that close to him, she's still very upset that he got taken so soon. He had a great heart and a good head on his shoulders. May he rest in peace.
