Donald I. "Tex" Pirches, Sr., 86, of Parkesburg, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at his home. He was the husband of the late Helen Hanna Pirches who died in 2009. Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late George R. Pirches and Edna M. McCarraher Leed.
Donald proudly served in the US Army from 1946 to 1949. He was first employed by the Downingtown Paper Mill and later retired, with 25 years of service, from the Budd Co. of Eagle, PA. He was a member of the Kings Way Independent Church.
He is survived by three children; Donald I. Pirches, Jr. of Gap, Susan M. Hilton of Honey Brook and Karen A. Pirches of Parkesburg, seven grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by an infant son Steven Pirches and eight siblings.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at 11 AM from the Kings Way Independent Church, 55 Morris Lane, Sadsburyville, PA 19369 followed by interment in the Penningtonville Presbyterian Cemetery. Visitation from 10 AM until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to the Kings Way Independent Church at the above address.
