Geraldine E. Daniels

Geraldine E. "Gerry" Daniels, 87, of East Fallowfield, passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at the Brandywine Hospital.  She was the wife of Edward G. Daniels, Sr. with whom she shared over 63 years of marriage.  

Born in Westwood, she was the daughter of the late Emily (Liggett) and Lloyd Wallace.  She was a 1948 graduate of the Chester Co. School of Nursing.  In 1968, she retired from nursing and a few months later was asked if she would like to teach special needs children.  She said, "yes" and after graduating West Chester University in 1973 she embarked on her second career in Special Education.

In her younger years, she like antiquing and flea markets and was a member of the Westwood Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary.  She also was a Cub Scout Den Mother to all her "boys" in Westwood.  For 35 years she enjoyed her summer weekends on the Northeast River in Maryland and later at her winter home in Tree Lakes, Palmetto, FL.  

She was a member of the Hephzibah Baptist Church of East Fallowfield.

She is survived, in addition to her husband, by her two children: Edward G. Daniels, Jr. of East Fallowfield and Pamela J. Martin, wife of Thomas, of Coatesville; brothers Franklin Wallace of Coatesville and Robert S. Wallace, husband of Barbara, of Bluffton, S.C.; and sister-in-law, Katherine Whitehill.  Predeceased by her brother W. Scott Wallace.  

The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 5th, 2015 at 11 AM at the Hephzibah Baptist Church, 2237 Strasburg Road, East Fallowfield, PA 19320, with interment in the adjoining cemetery.  The viewing will be from 10 until 11 AM.  

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Geraldine's memory to the Hephzibah Baptist Church.
