William C. Miller, 87, of Parkesburg, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at the Brandywine Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy (Swisher) Miller with whom he shared 66 years of marriage.
Born in Downingtown, he was the son of the late Mary Berstler and Oscar Miller Sr. An area resident all of his life, he was a graduate of Downingtown High School. William served honorably in the US Navy during W.W.II.
He was a mechanic with Krapf Bus Co. and later owned and operated his own trucking fleet.
William was a member of Brandywine Goddard Lodge #383 F&AM Masonic Lodge and the Scottish Rite of Reading.
He is survived, in addition to his wife, by his daughter Valerie Guiseppe, wife of William, of Parkesburg; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his siblings: Oscar and Michael Miller, and Mary Ann "Sis" Fleck.
The memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane League of Lancaster County, 2195 Lincoln Highway East, Lancaster, PA 17602.
