David R. Newlin, 66, of Downingtown, passed away on Wednesday, November 5th at his home.  He was the husband of Frances P. Newlin with whom he shared 45 years of marriage.  

Born in Coatesville, David was the son of Lee Nora (Dietz) and Charles Newlin.  

He was a 1966 graduate of Downingtown School District and later of the Bryland School of Cosmotology.  David worked at the Studio of Cuts & Colors in Frazer.  

He was a member of the Thomson Lodge #340 of Paoli, the Big Apple Chorus of N.Y.C., Barley Sheaf Players, Forge Theater, Chord Busters Chorus of West Chester and the Coatesville Choraliers.

David was a member of the Hibernia United Methodist Church of Coatesville.

He is survived, in addition to his wife, by three children:  Heather Lupton, wife of Russ, of Scranton, David Todd Newlin, husband of Mary, of Kimberton, and Johanna D. Augustine, wife of Craig, of Thorndale; six grandchildren and four brothers, Thomas Newlin of Downingtown, Frank Newlin of Downingtown, Charlie Newlin of Wellsboro and Dennis Newlin of Downingtown. 

The Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 11 AM at the Hiberina United Methodist Church, 220 Hibernia Rd, Coatesville, PA 19320 with visitation from 10 until 11 AM.  The Thomson Lodge #340 F&AM will perform their service at 11 AM.   

Memorial donations may be made to the Hibernia United Methodist Church at the above address.  

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Wilde Funeral Home of Parkesburg.
