Anita D. Jones

Anita D. Jones, 50, of Coatesville, passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at the Neighborhood Hospice Unit in West Chester. She was the beloved wife of Arland D. Jones with whom she shared 29 years of marriage. Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of Leonard Woodward of Coatesville and Louise Miller Smith of Parkesburg and stepdaughter to Ann Woodward.  
 
Anita was an area resident all her life and a 1982 graduate of the Coatesville Area Senior High School.
 
She was employed as a nursing assistant at the Coatesville VA Medical Center for 27 years.  She attended the Greater Deliverance Church.  She was a member of the Elite Riders Motorcycle Club and a football and baseball volunteer.
 
She is survived, in addition to her husband and parents by three children; Arland D. Jones, Jr. and companion Tia,  Brandon Jones and Nicole Jones all of Coatesville, three step children;  Shanica Jones and Arland D Jones both of Lancaster and Colin Jones of Philadelphia, nine grandchildren, three siblings; Thomas Miller of Parkesburg, Lisa Hines of Coatesville and John Miller of Coatesville, and step siblings, Richard Lewis of Upper Darby, Regina Lewis of Coatesville and Victoria Maddrey of Bear, DE. and godchild Fallynn Floyd.
 
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at 11am from the Episcopal Church of the Trinity, 323 East Lincoln Hwy. Coatesville, PA followed by interment at the Mt. Zion AME Cemetery. Viewing from 9 to 11am.

I am saddened to hear of the loss of this beautiful woman. Anita was the bright spot in everyone's day. This soft spoken,caring lady was a joy to know. My co-worker was respected for her hard work and the care and love she showed everyone, especially our veterans.

Anita brought so many smiles and laughs to my nights when working with her at the VA. I can only imagine the unlimited joy she brought to her family and loved ones throughout the years. I believe there is a place without tears, sickness or pain and that she is there waiting for us now. My deepest sympathy to the family.

To Anita's family. I am very sadden to here about a great friend Anita Jones passing. I worked with her on the Alzhermiers unit at the VA and she was agreat person to work with. She made you laugh until your stomach hurts. Anita will be missed very much. I am proud that I got to know her, worked with, and not only,got to be her friend. I will miss you. Until it is my time, I will see you up there iat Heavens gates. Your friend forever.

Please find comfort in knowing that God will wipe out every tear from our eyes, and "death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things has passed away"  Revelatiion  21: 3,4. May this promise give you comfort now and a real hope for the future.  My condolences to the family and friends.
