Donald Arasin

Donald Arasin, 81, of Coatesville, passed away on Friday, February 8th, 2013 at his home, surrounded by loving family. He was the husband of Margaret Miles Arasin, with whom he shared 59 years of marriage.


Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Andrew and Beatrice (Arnold) Arasin. An area resident his entire life, he was a graduate of Coatesville High School. Donald served honorably in the US Navy for four years.


He was employed by the former Lukens Steel of Coatesville for 40 years.


Don was an avid hunter, fisherman and an accomplished sporting clay shooter.


Donald is survived, in addition to his wife, by his two beloved daughters: Cindy, wife of Richard Saylor, of Coatesville and Donna, wife of James Flynn, of Coatesville; four grandchildren, three great grandchildren; and two siblings, Mary Lyons of Coatesville and Ruth Perkins of West Chester.


Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.


Memorial donations may be made in his memory to the Wagontown Union Chapel, P.O. Box 200, Wagontown, PA 19376 or the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.

We worked together many years ago at Chatham Acres.
I have often thought about you and if you ever retired from there.
