Evelyn M. “Evie” Sciarretta of Downingtown passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday, November 14, 2010. Born in West Chester, she was the daughter of the late Harry Lewis and Cora Bones Lewis.
She was an active member of the Chester County Car Club and Active “A”s. She will fondly be remembered for her love of birds and the beauty they brought to her life.
She leaves behind her husband of 56 years Emidio A. “Sonny” Sciarretta, Jr. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three sons Kenneth M., his wife Tina of Downingtown, Richard A., his wife Jean M. of Cochranville and David E. “Pepper” and his wife Vicki of Christiansburg, VA, two sisters Gertrude “Gertie” Hannum, Marion Morrelli, two brothers, William Lewis and Sam Lewis and 6 grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son Joseph A. Sciarretta, a granddaughter Erica A. Sciarretta, sisters Cora Watters, Margaret Dowlin and Freda Cozzone.
The Service will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Lord’s Pantry, 141 East Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown, Pa., 19335.
