Kenneth Isaac "Bud" Ellingsworth, Jr., 82, of Atglen, passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Ada Jacqueline Ellingsworth, with whom he shared 12 years of marriage and his first wife of 47 years the late Clara Howell Ellingsworth who died in 1996.


Born in Doe Run, he was the son of the late Mary Leid Ellingsworth and Kenneth Ellingsworth, Sr. An area resident his entire life, he was a graduate of the Unionville High School and the former Beacon College. He served honorably in the Pa. National Guard and was a member of the Luken's Veterans Guild.


He was employed by the former Lukens Steel as a Portable Spec. Operator, retiring in 1984.


He was member of the Skerrett Lodge # 343 F. & A. M. of Cochranville and the Reading Consistory.


He belonged to the Hephzibah Baptist Church of East Fallowfield.


He is survived by his stepchildren, Denny Howell of Coatesville, Karen (Pratt) Robbins, wife of Kevin, of Camp Hill and Lynda (Pratt) Grantges, wife of William, of Cohasset, Minnesota; six step grandchildren and eight great step granchildren; his three siblings, Delores Brown of Coatesville, Richard Ellingsworth, husband of Freida, of Coatesville and James Ellingsworth, husband of Mary Ann, of Cochranville.


The Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, followed by interment in the Hephzibah Baptist Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at the Funeral Home from 10 until 11 AM.


In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association, 625 W. Ridge Pikes #100, Conshohocken, PA 19428.

I read of your stepfather's passing this morning and was somewhat shocked. I thought that he was improving and had left Penn.
