Lynn and Tom,

I just returned from visiting my mom and learned of the passing of your mom. While I did not know her well, I know that you were all very close and that she was loved by many people. Your daughter's heartfelt condolence, which I read on this site was a tribute to your mom and her loving influence on her grandchildren. You are in my thoughts and prayers at such a difficult time.

Dear Judi,
Thank you so much for your condolences on my mother's death. It is especially meaningful that you contacted Susan and to have heard from her, too! Thankyou for that special gesture. My mother was adored by all her grandkids - she was so devoted to them! The funeral service was uplifting and a real tribute to her as are these sentiments from friends like you.

Dear Lynn,

My cousin Judi Funk Laurento just told me of your mother's death. I am so sad for you, Lynn. I remember your mother as a lovely person -- generous, VERY hard-working, and always caring. She must have loved music, too, the way she nurtured it in you. You must miss her very much. With the determination she demonstrated in life, I am not surprised that she lived to be 91. She was always warm and welcoming, so it isn't surprising to find that her departure could be felt as far away as many states (Massachusetts) and many decades.

Love,
Susan (Hadfield)
