Doris E. (nee Williams) Heinzman, of Quarryville, formerly of Parkesburg, passed away peacefully on Friday, Sept. 18, 2009 at the Brandywine Hospital.
Born in West Chester, she was the daughter of the late Alvin G. Williams, Sr. and Helen May Williams.
Doris, also known as "Pete" to many, was a homemaker. She was a Methodist by faith and was educated at the Parkesburg High School.
She enjoyed going to auctions and country music shows. She also cherished her two parakeets.
She is survived by one daughter, Doris Aberts, wife of Barry Aberts, Sr., of Coatesville; one granddaughter, Kimberly, wife of Joseph Valenti Jr. and one great, grandson, Joseph Valenti III; her brother, Alvin Williams, Jr., husband of Dillone Williams of Christiana; several nieces, nephews, cousins and her very close friends, who were like family to her, Chester and Eva Jones of Wrightsville.
She was predeceased by her husband Gerald "Jerry" Montgomery in 1966 and two siblings, Elsie Taylor in 2008 and Joseph Williams in 2005, and a longtime companion, Lonnie Henson in 2009.
The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at 11 p.m. at the Wilde Funeral Home, followed by interment in the Upper Octorara Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation, which will be held from 10 a.m. until 11 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkesburg Baptist Church, 105 West Street, Parkesburg, PA 19365.
