Larry E. Smith, Sr., 60, formerly of Coatesville, died on Sunday, November 15, 2009 at the Pocopson Home. He was the husband of Rebecca Johnson Smith with whom he shared 43 years of marriage.

Born in West Chester, he was the son of the late Brinton and Edith Williams Smith. Larry was a Chester County resident all his life. He retired from the Whitford Corporation of Elverson in 1998 and had previously been employed by Croda Ink for 17 years.

Norman F. Walton, Jr., 73, of West Bradford, passed away at his home on Thursday, November 12, 2009 surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Kay E. Moore Walton with whom he shared 52 years of marriage.

Ethel F. Neff, 83, of Coatesville, passed away on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at the Neighborhood Hospice Center in West Chester. She was the widow of the late Melvin F. Neff, Sr., who passed away in 1975.

Born on December 27, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Sanford B. Mowday and Ethel Leslie Mowday.

Dorothy E. Wharton, 78, of Narvon, passed away on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at her home. She was the widow of the late George Wharton, Sr..

Born in Chester County, she was the daughter of the late Allen and Bertha Shannon.

Marie D. Mitchell, 93, of Parkesburg, died on Sunday, November, 8, 2009 at the Brandywine Hospital. She was the widow of the late John J. Mitchell, Jr. who died in 2006. Born in Woodridge, VA, she was the daughter of the late Brady Lee and Catherine P. Wolfe Davis.

Marie was an area resident all her life and a 1935 graduate of the Coatesville High School. Later, she was employed at the Coatesville Senior High School as a librarian. She was a member of Our Lady of Consolation Church in Parkesburg.
