Anna R. Thomas, 72, of Kinzers, passed away at her home on Thursday, February 25th, 2021.  She was the beloved wife of Gerald A. Thomas, Sr. with whom she shared 53 years of marriage. Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of  Euna (Poole) Scott of Kinzers and the late John Scott. 

An area resident her entire life, Anna was a 1966 graduate of Octorara High School and graduate of Immaculata College.  She worked as a registered nurse for 23 years, retiring in 2004 from the Coatesville VA Medical Center. She was a member of Our Lady of Consolation Church in Parkesburg. 

In addition to her husband, Anna is survived by two sons, Gerald Andrew Thomas, Jr., husband of Stacey, of Hatboro, PA and James R. Thomas, husband of Katherine, of Coatesville; four grandchildren; Kelley, Kara, Emily and Kori and her brother, John J. Scott, and companion Laurie Mundy, of Kinzers.  

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 4th, 2021 at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Consolation Church, 603 W 2nd Ave, Parkesburg, PA 19365 with a viewing from 9:30 until the start of the service.  Interment will follow at the Parkesburg Catholic Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Anna's memory to the Wounded Warriors Project by clicking on the link HERE.  

In order to protect those at-risk, please wear a face mask and practice social distancing while at the Church.

I am so sorry to hear of Annie's passing. I had the pleasure of knowing and working with Annie at the CVAMC. She was always kind, pleasant, fun and knowledgeable as our Supervisor. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. R.I.P. our Queen.
