Flora M. Murtaugh, 87, of Havertown, formerly of Honey Brook, PA, passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2020, at Arden Courts of King of Prussia. She was the widow of the late Bernard J.P. Murtaugh who passed away in 2009. They shared 46 years of marriage together. Born in Cambridge, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Alva M. and Dora Bradley Snyder.  

Flora graduated from West Philadelphia High School in 1952 in Philadelphia, PA.  She was employed most of her life as a bookkeeper. Most recently she attended Proclamation Presbyterian Church in Bryn Mawr, PA.

She is survived by four children: Kathryn Gates and husband John of Havertown, Nancy Marsh and husband Tom of Honey Brook, PA,  Bernard H. Murtaugh and wife Lori of Honey Brook, and David J. Murtaugh and wife Barbara of Gap, PA, 14 grandchildren,  21 great-grandchildren, and one brother, Dr. Carl H. Snyder of Bryantown, MD. She was preceded in death by ten siblings: Granville Snyder, Olin Snyder, Thelma Faulkner, Mary Catherine Schnagl, Peggy Colflesh, Marie Clemick, Jane Taylor, Howard Snyder, June Oglesby, and Blanche Taylor.

Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Wednesday, September 16, 2020, at 1:00 PM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main Street, Parkesburg, PA, with visitation from 12:00 noon to 1:00 PM, followed by interment at the Parkesburg Catholic Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to Grace Chapel of Southern Maryland, 39245 Chaptico Road, Mechanicsville, MD 20659, www.gracechapelsomd.org
