Donna M. McCoy
Surrounded by the love of her family Donna McCoy, 66, of Coatesville, PA passed away Thursday, Sept. 3, 2020, after a recent diagnosis of liver cancer.
A meticulous bookkeeper and energetic questioner of all, Donna enjoyed her recent years at home while working hard at being the best Mom, Mom-Mom, and best daughter ever.
Previously, Donna worked at Walmart in Parkesburg for nine years as a cashier, especially enjoying her time at the jewelry counter. She also worked for Caleco, Harland Checks, Coatesville school district cleaning several of the schools and at Citadel Credit Union.
Donna was a frequent diner and friend of Little Chef in Coatesville and enjoyed a love of food, especially seafood. She would order a huge meal just to have several meals of leftovers, including the mints, jams, creamers and packets of Splenda she stocked her fridge with.
Donna loved her cats, feeding the “birdies” at her home and planting flowers, typically taking many months to get them planted for the summer. Her pride in making the outside of her home look great with flowers and, later in the year, Halloween and Christmas decorations were obvious to anyone passing by.
Devoted to her family, Donna was a frequent gift giver and loved to spend time with them in her pool, on the phone, and playing BINGO. She was the biggest fan of her grandsons and attended as many Avon Grove Little League, Legion, and Bulldog baseball games; Y basketball; and NFL Flag football games as possible to cheer from the sidelines.
Preceded in death by her mother Dorothy (Dot) Corbicz, Donna is survived by her husband Kenny; her son Brian (Shelly) of Lincoln University; her grandson’s Sean and Brandon; her father Stephen Corbicz of Schwenksville; and her brother Tony (Kathy) of Gilbertsville.
The Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 12th, 2020 at 11 AM at Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, with a visitation from 9:30 until the time of the service.
In order to protect those at-risk, please wear a face mask and practice social distancing at the service.
