Barrie L. White Sr.

Barrie L. White Sr., 85, of Parkesburg, passed away on Friday, December 13, 2019, at Tel Hai Retirement Community.  He was the husband of the late Goldie Godra White.  Born in Stottsville, he was the son of the late Wilmer E. and Margaret Thorne White.

In his younger days, he worked at his father's wallpapering and painting business.  He then worked at Lukens Steel Company as a supervisor.  After retiring he lived for 11 years with his wife on a boat and afterward in Florida. He most recently moved back and lived in Parkesburg.

He enjoyed hunting but his passion was fishing.  He was a Cub Scout Leader.  He was the first person to offer help to people.

He is survived by his children, Debbie, wife of John, Regener of Parkesburg, Barrie Jr., husband of Michelle, White and Kathy, wife of Harry, Boyd, both of Shinglehouse, PA, grandchildren, Jacqui, and husband Russ, of Parkesburg, Crystal, wife of Jason, of Indiana, and Rachael of Shinglehouse, and great-grandchildren, Shelby, Jocelyn, Brantley, and Serenity.  He was preceded in death by siblings, Peg Dunlap, Sally Zerr, Jeri Jon, and Wil White.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, December 21, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. from the Wilde Funeral Home, Parkesburg, with a visitation starting at 1:00 p.m.  Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
