Shirley Mae Ash

Shirley Mae Ash, 77, of Coatesville, passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at the Neighborhood Hospice Center in West Chester. Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late Arthur M. Ash, Sr. and Helen Mae Hamilton Ash.

Shirley was a lifelong resident of Coatesville. She was employed for over 60 years at Zeke's Gas Station where she did everything from pumping gas to managing the store.

She is survived by five siblings; Arthur Ash, Jr. of Parkesburg, Chester Ash of Coatesville, Peggy Redmond of Middletown, MD, Patsy Chilla of Downingtown and Becky Nuse of Coatesville and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by one sister Jackie Weaver.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 10:00 AM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA followed by interment at the Fairview Cemetery in Coatesville. Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing from 9:00 to 10:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to Neighborhood Hospice of Chester County, 400 E. Marshall St., West Chester, PA, 19380.
