George L. Himes

George L. Himes, 72, of Coatesville, passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at the Einstein Medical Center in East Norriton, PA. Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late William  and Alice E. Hurst Himes. 

George was a Coatesville resident all his life. He was employed for many years by the Gritz Pools. 

George was a member of the Coatesville VFW. He enjoyed roller skating at the Caln Roller Rink, hunting and fishing.

He is survived by five sisters; Shirley Arnold of Dover, DE, Alice Harnish of Coatesville, Thelma Rhoades of Coatesville, Eva Townsend of Coatesville and Mary Ann March of Wagontown, one brother ronald Himes of Modena and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers William C. Himes and Gary Himes. 

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 12, 2018 at 3:00 PM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA followed by interment at the Fairview Cemetery in Coatesville. Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing from 2:00 to 3:00 PM.
